The first day in Phranakhon University
(SEA Teacher)
On
Sunday 21st January 2018, the new day when I opened my eyes to see
the beautiful view in Bangkok Thailand which is also the first day in conducting
my practical teaching (SEA Teacher) in this country. For today’s activity we
went to the building of Collage Teacher Education (CTE) in Phranakhon
university in doing the introduction for what will be done by my friends and me
in here, and also we introduced our self for the lecturers with the staff and
partly of the students in the campus. After that, we went to the canteen by
accompanied with two students guide in taking our lunch which there are so many
foods that can be eaten by us but we tended to eat rice, some vegetable and
chicken, that are usually eaten by us in Indonesia, after the lunch some of my
friends who are Muslim backed to the dormitory to pray, and after all of them
have finished their praying we planned to go to a festival, but unfortunately
one of my friends and I did not go the festival because we were tired and
taking sleep. Today’s activity is very useful because I have known the
information about the school that will become my place in conducting my
practical teaching, the schedule during
we conducting our practical teaching in here, and the campus places’
information such the canteen, library, and other.

The second day in Phranakhon University

On
Monday 22nd January 2108, which the second day I was in Phranakhon
university in conducting my practical teaching (SEA teacher) in this country.
For today’s activity my friends and I attended the seminar English classroom
that was conducted starting from 08.30 until 16.30 and the class comprised of
two sections that first section talked about teaching reading and general
information presentation about every school that will be taught by SEA teacher
students, and the second section talked about teaching specific aspects of
language, and practice and controlled practice. Both two sections of the
seminar English classroom were very useful for me because I have had additional
knowledge that should be had by me before I directly teach students in here.
First, which also became the first section in today’s activity which the
presentation provided the information about the considering students’ level in
conducting our practical teaching especially in teaching reading, which in this
part I also asked for the presenters about what strategy and technique that
should be applied by me if I teach students in intermediate level for improving
their reading skill? They answered that it is better to discussion with
students about the interesting topic that they are interest and giving the gift
for students to motivate them in following the classroom activity. Second, the
presentation also provided general information about every school that will be
places in conducting our practical teaching which every presenter told us about
the general information for all of the schools. Third, which in the second
section that the presentation provided all of the things that should be had in
teaching specific aspects of language that tended to be explained about grammar
and how to teach that very well without making students bored in the classroom
activity. In here, the teacher must have like flashcards, words pictures, and
real example in delivering teacher’s material for the students. Fourth, which
the information provided told us about practical and controlled practice which
in conducting class activity the teacher should give attention for mistakes,
slips, errors, attempts in correcting students’ problem in their learning
process. And the last, which I have had the information about every places in
Phranakhon university such as fitness place, first aid place, ITDC places,
library place, and the traditional Thai house that is derived by campus tour
which my friends and I also accompanied by some students’ of Phranakhon
university that they as the guide to tell us about information for every place
that were visited by us. So, in conclusion I can say that this is very good day
that provides me with a lot of information about the conditions in Bangkok Thailand
especially for the students, school, and the Phranakhon university.

The third day in Phranakhon University

On
Tuesday 23 January 2018, the third day I was in Phranakhon university in
conducting my practical teaching here. For today’s activity my friends and I
went to join and share in physiological class in demonstrating classroom
activity that was conducted in match’s students major which is also the first
section for today’s activity. We shared and enjoyed with class activity because
the lecturer was very funny and very active in conducting the class. The
important lessons that I got which as a teacher we must understand our students
especially in their characteristic and their memory in acquiring the materials
that is being delivered by us. First, if the students are not good in their
memory what are the ways that can be used by the teacher in making the students
can feel “I have good memory”? The lecturer suggested us which in the first
time before we starting our process, let with students making a game that can
make them feel enjoy which we played a game it’s name is repetition words which there are 10 students came in front the
class and made a line, which the rule of this game is the first students will
tell a word and the second student will repeat the words that has been told by
the first students and telling the second student’s word that will be also
repeated by the next student and also the students will say for the new one
next and next. The last student will be difficult in this game because she or
he will repeat for all of the words that have been told by other students. And
second, how to understand students characteristic in the class activity which
there are so many characteristics of them. The solution in teaching students
with have a lot of various characteristics which you must be good teacher that
is friendly, understanding students’ condition, giving motivation for them not
kill their character, and smile in the teaching process. That is all of the
activity that we did, and next in the second section which we went to the
school of Pranakhonn university is the school usually called as the Home of Happiness. In this school there
are 403 students that comprises of grade 10 is 132 students, grade 11 is 143,
grade 12 is 128, and all of the classes are 9 classroom. For students’
concentration area in learning which comprises of Science Math, English Math,
English Japanese, and English Chinese. The important lesson that I got for this
section which the vice of the director told us that this school is made to
produce students who have creativity
that is very useful in making something new, communication that is useful for them to communicate aboard, and
the last cooperative which they can
help each other in solving problem together. Today’s activity was very useful
that I have already had new additional knowledge before I conduct my practical
teaching in here.

The fourth day in Phranakhon University

On
Wednesday 24th January 2018, the fourth day I was in Phranakhon
university, Thailand. For today’s activity my friends and I had two sections
that should be conducted, that first we attended the opening ceremony of
Phranakhon university that welcomed us as SEA Teacher student in conducting our
practical teaching in here and the second we attended Dr.Wilaichitra’s which is
about American culture. For the first the section, the opening ceremony that
was opened by the rector of Phranakhon university and he welcomed as the
students from Indonesia that will conduct our practical teaching in here. After
that, every student from Indonesia presented their university for all of the
audiences and after the presentation, the SEA Teacher students discussed with
every advisor of each of them, and the lastly taking lunch together. That is
all for section one, which next we would attend Dr.Wilaichitra’s class in
sharing and enjoying with the student there. The class was conducted which
first the lecturer divided us in some groups and we discussed about the topic
that was given which every group has different topic. In group discussion I realized
that it is made so we can interact with the students in here, and we can also
share our knowledge or solving the topic’s question together. During the
discussion’s process I found that the students in here they liked to make
conversation each other although they are not too good in English language. I
told for them that it is good to talk with us although you are not too good in
English do not be shy we are going to fix you if you have problem in making
conversation in English. After groups’ discussion, group number 1 presented
their answer by using power point, and after that Dr.Wilaichitra asked us as SEA
Teacher student to stand in front of the class and students were allowed to ask
question for us which mostly of their questions were about our culture. Some of
my friends even showed some pictures about Indonesia’s culture like traditional
places, tourism spot, traditional dance, and etcetera. After that, we came to the last section that
we sang together which in this part Dr. Wilaichitra told us this activity is
useful so the students don’t be shy in following the class activity and can
also make them to be relaxed in following the process.

The fifth day in Phranakhon University

On
Thursday 25th January 2018, the fifth day I was in Phranakhon
university, Thailand. Today’s activity which is my friends and I attended Mr.
Suwan class in demonstrating class activity for students in match major. First,
my friends and I introduced our self for the students which is very useful to
know each other in making enjoy the class. Second, we observed Mr.Suwan ways in
teaching the class, that he started the class by singing with students that is
useful to make enjoy the process. Third, students of match major practiced
their skill in teaching vocabulary in the class which they were very good in
delivering their teaching process which was funny and fun. After that, Mr.Suwan
gave the chance for us as SEA Teacher students in practicing our skill about
how to teach vocabulary. It was challenges that my friends and I must teach the
students about vocabulary. In my part I taught their vocabulary by starting to
show the word and we spell it together, giving the meaning for the word, and
making the sentences by using the word. This is very big lesson for today which
have been gotten by my friends and me. We have known about how to make the
class activity can be fun which we can use game or a song to be sung together,
the flash card that is used to write the words to make the students can see
those clearly, the using of media provided like marker, whiteboard, and pictures,
to make interesting class, and how to make the students can be active in the
class activity that allow them to show their understanding by giving the chance
in making the sentences by using the words that is being taught. And for the
overall lesson today, which my knowledge in teaching students has been improved
by following the section today.

The sixth day in Phranakhon University

On
Friday 26th January 2018, the sixth day I was in Phranakhon University,
Thailand. For today, there was no activity that would be done that relates with
SEA Teacher program, and I took this time for taking rest and wasted my
laundry. In washing my laundry, I was actually a bit difficult to do that, but
I was lucky because my friend knows how to wash the laundry very well, and then
he told me how to wash the laundry. The new important thing that I learnt,
which is about how can be better in surviving myself in the condition like this
one.

The seventh day in Phranakhon University

On
Saturday 27 January 2018, the seventh day I was in Pharanakhon University,
Thailand. This also become my first week in this country, which is for today’s
activity I had two sections that have been scheduled that are interview section
and tour section which is for interview section occurred because one of my
friends in here, she asked me to do the interview with her junior which is
about culture subject. In this section there are so many additional knowledge
that I found which the first question they asked about the culture shock I
found when I came in their country. I told them which is about food, city
management, and students in here. Thailand’s food is spiced, the government in
here can manage the traffic very well even though there are so many cars and
motorcycles here but sometimes I did not see the traffic jam, and the last
about the students in here which they have their uniform to go the campus, they
also do not allow to use jeans in campus, and they can make something joke with
their lecturers. I told them in Indonesia especially in my city is totally
different with the condition in here. The food is not too spiced, you can use
your jeans to go to the campus, and you can find a lot of traffic jam in Jakarta
as the capital of Indonesia, and to make something joke with the lecturers
sometimes you can do that with them because it is impolite especially in my
university. I also shared Indonesia’s culture which is in Indonesia there are
so many culture which is about the language, traditional dance, traditional
ceremony, and etcetera. I even told them that in different city in Indonesia,
you can also find the different culture which is about the language,
traditional dance, traditional ceremony, and etcetera. For the language,
Indonesia has about 750 languages. At the end of the interview one of them gave
a food which is almost same with one of foods in my city that we call that as Gogos and they call that as Khaw Ping. That is all for the section
one with its knowledge that I found. After that, we continued to the second
section which we were going to go to Chatuchak
market to buy some souvenir which in Thai they call souvenir as Kongfa which is the first additional
knowledge that I found for section number two. We started this activity at
11.00 P.M until 06.00 A.M which is exhausted day. In there, there are so many
tourism that are from the different country that one of my friends in Thailand
she told me that mostly of them are Chinese, Japanese, Arab, and American. That
is all for section two and for this section all of the SEA Teacher students
have bought some souvenir for family and even for friends in Indonesia.

The eighth day in Phranakhon University

On
Sunday 28th January 2018, the eighth day I was in Phranakhon
university, Thailand. But today, I am actually not in the area of Phranakhon University
which I have moved to the school’s area which is the dormitory of Kanchanaphisek
Technical College Manakorn. I arrived in here about 06:00 P.M by accompanied
with Mr.Suwan and my advisor Mis.Rungtip Srisopa. After we arrived and then we
even discussed with one of the teacher here, and she also explained us about
the school content which it referred to how many teachers that teach about English
language in this school. There are four English teachers that each of them will
be our mentor during we conduct our practical teaching in here. She also even
told us about the time schedule in this school which the school’s process
usually starts at 07:30 A.M and there is a flag ceremony every day. The
important lesson that I got from the brief explanation of the of the teacher,
which first is about the time schedule that is in here the school process is
started at 07:30 A.M that is same with Indonesia which for the first time I
thought that perhaps, in here the school’s process is earlier to be started
than Indonesia. And the second, which is in here the flag ceremony, is
conducted every day but in Indonesia only on Monday the flag ceremony is
conducted. That is all for today’s activity and the important lesson that I got
in my new place which is in Kancanaphisek Technical College Manakhon.

The ninth day I am in Thailand
Kanchanaphisek Technical College Mahanakorn
(Classroom observation)
On
Monday 29th January 2018, the first day I am in Kanchanphisek
Technical College Mahanakorn, which I am so happy to take my first day in this
college. For today’s activity, I had two sections which were classroom
observation and tour around the college. For the first section which was about
the classroom observation that my friends and I joined one of English teachers
class and we observed how the teacher conducted the class activity. The skill
that would be taught which was about Reading skill especially about how to read
the timetable, and as the additional information that this college is a bit
different with other schools like junior or senior high school level which is
for one subject it spends about two hours, and in Indonesia the school is
recognized as SMK (Sekolah Menengah
Kejuruan). Let us back to talk about the class activity which is as the
introduction for the activity teacher asked the students about what is time you
get up this morning? That was useful to bring students’ learning process in the
real life, which the teacher also used a clock by setting time in the clock and
then asked the students one by one about the time. After that, the teacher
commanded the students to finish some exercises about timetable that was useful
to make them can understand deeply about how to read the timetable very well.
That is all of the section number one with its knowledge that I got. For the
section number two which the teacher brought us to tour around the college in
each department that it has, which In
the middle of our tour, the teacher remembered that there was a ceremony of
Buddhism in the college which the teacher even brought us to the ceremony. The
first question that I had for the teacher which about, is the ceremony usually
conducted in this college? The teacher answered that, No it is usually
conducted in particular moment to express of gratitude for God or something
like that. The difference thing that I found in Thailand’s school, which is in
Indonesia I cannot find the ceremony like this one that occurs in Indonesia’s
school. After the ceremony was conducted and we had opportunity to taking lunch
together in the location of the ceremony was conducted. There were a lot of
food that can be found which I was interest with one food; its name is Kanom lupcup which is made by bean and very
delicious one. Another food that became interesting one, that was found which
is Tuang ho lupcup that in Indonesia
we call it as Kecambah and in my city
Ambon, we call it as Kacang tumbu,
which is very interesting knowledge that I found about the food. After we After
we finished our lunch, we backed to the teachers’ office and discussed about
the skill that will be taught by four of us, which is based on the discussion
Dirk and I will teach about listening and speaking skill, Nana will teach about
English technical skill, and Dessy will teach about reading skill. We also have
already had our mentor for each of us, and each of them has already given their
lesson plan. And in conclusion, that is all of the section and activity that
have been done by my friends and me for our first day in Kanchanaphisek
Technical College Mahanakorn.

The tenth day I am in Thailand

Tuesday 30th January 2018, the second day I am in Kanchanphisek
Technical College Mahanakorn, which also become my second day in conducting
classroom observation. For today activity, my friends and I were going to
observe another one of English teachers’ class, with the subject Technical
English classroom. Before we entered to the class activity, I saw the picture
of each teacher in every classroom, which also became my question why it should
be like that? I even asked for one of the teachers in the office room, and she
answered that if you see my picture in a room which means that is my room, and
if you see your mentor’s picture in another room which means that is your
mentor room. Something new that I found which every teacher has their own room,
which the students should be rolling in conducting their learning process. In
Indonesia, that is totally different that the teachers should be rolling in
their teaching process. Few minutes later, we attended to the class activity
that the teacher started the process by greeting the students and entered to
teach the materials. In the middle of the class activity some students entered
to the class which I thought they wanted to meet with the teacher. However,
they were late and the teacher could allow them to enter for following the
process. The another difference that I found which the students can enter to
the class activity even they are late, which in Indonesia you cannot be allowed
by the teacher to follow the class activity if you are late to came. That is
all for today’s activity with its knowledge that I found for my second day in
Kanchanaphisek Technical College Mahanakorn.

The eleventh day in Thailand

Wednesday 31st January 2018, the third day I am in Kanchanaphisek
Technical College Mahanakorn, which also become my third day in conducting my
observation class. For today, my friends and I were going to observe my mentor
class which is about listening and speaking 1. In observing the class there
were so many important things that I got. First, which is my mentor was not to
focus in the textbook activity that she creates her own activity was more
interesting and it still related with the skill (speaking and listening), second the activity were created that made
students were more active in the class activity (Students center), and the last
which is she is so friendly that makes the students were not sense in following
the class activity. The three important
lessons that should be had by me in conducting my class activity, she also told
me that “creating by your own self it is better to orginaze the activity
structurally and you are not monotonous in conducting the class activity. That
is all of today’s activity and its knowledge for my third day in Kanchanaphisek
Technical College Mahanakorn.

The twelfth day in Thailand

On
Thursday 01st February 2018, the fourth day I am in Kanchanaphisek
Technical College Mahanakorn, which is also my fourth day in observing the
class activity. But actually for today, my friends and I have been given the
chance to teach students and in conducting the teaching process we made a team
teaching that all of us would teach together and for the skill that would be
taught was reading skill. For today’s activity, we have three classes that
would be taught which for the first class all of the students are boy. They are
so funny and a bit hard to be controlled, which to control the class we divided
them in four groups and each of us controlled every group that have been
divided. For the first section we practiced their ability in reading a text,
which there is a conversation between two people and we would read together.
For the second section we gave them some exercises to be done. And the last we
make a game like puzzle that the students would be looking for every name from
every picture’s name provided. For the second class, the class had same
condition with first class that all of the students are boy and for the class
activity, we applied the same process like the first class. For the last class,
that we a bit chanced the process in conducting the activity because we saw for
the time condition that maybe the students have been sleepy in following the
class, which we provided a game before starting the class which was repetition game to make them could feel
enjoy in following the class activity. And for this class, all of the students
are girl, and they were a bit serious in following the class activity. That is
all for today’s teaching, that are some important lesson that I got which about
students behavior that should be understood by the teacher in conducting the
class activity and the time condition in conducting the process, which by
giving attention for both of them as teacher we can make the class activity
that is appropriate with the students’ desire.

The thirteenth day in Thailand
Kanchanphisek Technical College Mahanakorn

On
Friday 02nd February 2018, the fifth day I am in Kanchanphisek
Technical College Mahanakorn. For today’s activity, which also becomes special
day because coincides with soldier’s day, and we as students teacher got a
special moment that the director bought four flowers and those were given for
us. The director also asked us about our feeling in conducting our practical
teaching in here, which we answered everything were fine and enjoyable. After
that, all of us prepared our self to teach a class for today’s activity which
unfortunately all of the students missed the class was no one come to follow
the class activity. Then, we asked for the teacher about why they do not come to follow the class activity? Teacher even
told us that the students usually go home
earlier in weekend. I was surprised with the answer which it is totally
different with Indonesia condition that I never find like this one, even though
the students want to miss the class but not all of them will have same thinking
to do that. All were surprised, that I felt for my fifth day in Kanchanaphisek
Technical College Mahanakorn.

The fourteenth day in Thailand

On
Thursday 03rd February 2018, the fourteenth day I am in Thailand in
conducting my practical teaching. For today’s activity I had two schedules that
would be done, which is first about interview section and tour section. For
interview section, which it was continued from last week’s interview that my
friends in Thai interviewed me about symbol, value and norms. They asked me
about what is the symbol that indicates Indonesia? I told them that actually
every city in Indonesia has different symbol to indicate you are Indonesian,
which is there is no significant one like in Thai which is an elephant as the symbol for that country. But, I told them that probably Batik clothes is one of the symbols from Indonesia that is
worldwide, when you are talking about batik
clothes, it can indicate you are Indonesian. The next question about value,
that I told them that because the majority in my country are Muslim the value
of them that can be seen clearly which between a man and woman cannot touch
each other except both have married, which depicts value of religion. And the
last question about norm which I told them in my country there are a lot of
norms which I cannot explain all of them which is only the norm in my city. In
my city, there are so many villages that each of them should have a king that
we call it as Raja as a norm that
must be obeyed. And the system of choosing the king that is used is same with
Thai’s system. That is all for the first section, which the next section about
tour that my friends and I would go to Asiatique as the one of favorite places
in Bangkok. We were so happy in doing our trip to the place, that we spent
about 90 minutes, which we used bus, sky train, and boat to go there. I even
asked one of my friends who is James with some questions about, what you call
boat in Thai that he told me Rua, what
is the name of the river that we passed to go to Asiatique that he asked Capayau, and the last interesting
question that I asked him about a flag which is there is an elephant’s picture
in the flag. Is it another one of Thai’s flag? He asked that yes that is the
old flag of Thai. That is all of the interesting things that I get for today’s
activity which is also my second week in Thailand.

The fifteenth day in Thailand
Phranakhon University
On
Sunday 04th February 2018, the fifteenth day I am in Thailand in
conducting my practical teaching in here. For today’s activity, I had two
sections that will be done which are presentation and cooking section. For the
first section which every of us would present everything that we got during one
week in school which tended to present about problem that we got during one
week in school. Mostly of us told that the significant problem were about
students’ who sometimes feel lazy and not too serious in following the class
activity, and about the curriculum that is totally different with our
curriculum in Indonesia which we should create our own lesson plan based on the
curriculum provided in here. From this section, it can be a motivation for me
to create interesting activities that can make students are interest in
following the class activity, and I will learn more about how to make a good
lesson plan by considering for the curriculum. That is all for section number
one with its important lesson that I got, which for next section we were going
to share about culture that was about cultural exchange. For this section, we
learnt about how to make Papaya Salad which
is one of the traditional foods in Thai, and learnt about every ingredient that
are needed to make the food. In Thai, people call Mango as Mamuang and Indonesian call as Mangga,
Papaya as Malakon and Indonesian call
as Pepaya, Garlic as Gratiam and Indonesian call as Bawang Putih, Chili as Prek and Indonesia call as Cabe, Bean as Tualiksong and Indonesian Kacang,
Tomato as Markuatet and
Indonesian as Tomat, and the last Corn
as Kauport and Indonesia as Jagung. For this section, there were so
many important lessons that I got, and this day becomes the important one that
gave me new important knowledge in my fifteenth day in this country.

Monday 05th February 2018, the fifteenth day I am in Thailand in
conducting my practical teaching in here. For today actually I did not have
activity to be done, which I only prepared my lesson plan for tomorrow teaching
that I was a bit hard to finish that. The problem that I got that the activties
that should be created for two hours activity, which I should prepare those
that make fun the students and appropriate with the time allocating. From this
part, I learnt so many things which how to be creative in design the activity
and how to provide the activity appropriate with time allocating. For today, I

The seventeenth day in Thailand

On
Tuesday 06th February 2018, the seventeenth day I am in Thailand at
Kanchanaphisek Technical College Mahanakorn, which this day also became my
first day in teaching students at Kanchanphisek Technical College Mahanakorn. For
today’s activity, I had one class only to teach which was electrical power,
which is in this class there were nine students and all of them are boys. The activities
that I was designed in teaching the class were first I introduced myself, after
that the students also introduced their name, played a game which is Chinese whisper, explained the material
that is about expression of asking giving information, giving exercise that
comprised of fill in the blanks (Listening),
true or false (Checking students’
understanding), practicing conversation (Speaking), questions (Improving
students’ understanding), and finally explained to them about ways in
improving listening and speaking skill. The result that I got by applying the
activities that I told before, which is the students a bit interest in
following the class activity even though some of them were totally did not care
with the process by playing their mobile phone and sleeping in the class. Based
on the result for today’s activity, which I more motivated to design good
activity that make my students really enjoy with the process in class and get
knowledge that is being taught by me. That is all for today’s activity and its
knowledge that I found for my first day in teaching students in Kanchanphisek
Technicall College Mahanakorn.

The eigthteenth day in Thailand

On
Wednesday 07th February 2018, the eighteenth day I am in Thailand at
Kanchanaphisek Technical College Mahanakorn, which this day also became my
second day in teaching students at Kanchanphisek Technical College Mahanakorn.
For today’s activity, I also had one class only to teach which was drafting
class, which is in this class there were sixteenth students that comprises of
three girls and thirteenth. The activities that I was designed in teaching the
class were almost same with my first day in teaching, which I only added a song
that can make the students, feel fun.
first I introduced myself, after that the students also introduced themselves,
sing a song, played a game which is Chinese
whisper, explained the material that is about expression of asking giving
information, giving exercise that comprised of fill in the blanks (Listening), true or false (Checking students’ understanding),
practicing conversation (Speaking),
questions (Improving students’
understanding), and finally explained to them about ways in improving
listening and speaking skill. The result that I got by applying the activities
that I told before, which is the students were interest in following the class
activity, but they told me that there are so many activities that probably can
make them feel bored in finishing all of those. Based on the result for today’s
activity, which is from students’ feeling in following the class activity and
their suggestion to my designed activity, which makes I more motivated to
design better activity that make my students really enjoy with the process in
class, and get knowledge that is being taught by me. That is all for today’s
activity and its knowledge that I found for my second day in teaching students
in Kanchanphisek Technicall College Mahanakorn.

The nineteenth day in Thailand

On
Thursday 08th February 2018, the nineteenth day I am in Thailand at
Kanchanaphisek Technical College Mahanakorn, which my third day in teaching
students, and also became my evaluation day at Kanchanphisek Technical College
Mahanakorn. For today’s teaching, I changed my lesson plan that I applied for
first and second meeting based on the result that I got during two days
teaching process, which I added a song to encourage students’ feeling to make
them feel happy in following class activity. For the first time, students were
a bit difficult in singing the song, because that is a new song for them.
Therefore, I sang first that they listened to me before we sang together. They
were so funny in singing, that I could see they felt enjoy in following the
process. For my lesson plan in today’s activity, which song and also the activities
were not too much like two meetings before. For today’s result of my teaching,
I think that from 100 percent I have gotten 60 percent which the students can
follow my class activity well even though sometimes they did not understand my
instruction. During two hours I taught my students, I was observed by my
advisor from university and after that we met together in discussing the
teaching process that I conducted. From the discussion, my advisor told that “I appreciated your style in the teaching
process and all were good, but the song and game that you played with your
students did not have connection with the material that you taught, it is
better if there is connection each other”. From the suggestion, I have
already gotten the important lesson which in every activity that we make in
delivering our teaching process those should have connection each other even
for the material that is being taught by me. For today’s activity, it was very useful
that I have improved my skill and gotten new knowledge in conducting my
teaching process for my last day in teaching students in Kanchanphisek
Technical College Mahanakorn.

On
Friday 09th February 2018, the twentieth day I am in Thailand at
Kanchanaphisek Technical College Mahanakorn, which also became my last day
there which my friends and I are so sad to say goodbye for teachers and
students in this college. For today, actually my other friends still have one
class to be taught and only me who is free for today. I stayed in teacher’s
office with other teachers there and also say goodbye earlier before my
friends. One motivation that I got for this section, which a teacher who comes
from china told that may you have good
life in your teaching life. The words directly made me thinking that I
should be better in my teaching day forward and become the best one. at the end
of the process for today, we met with the deputy director to say thanks to her
and giving our souvenir for the college. I was so sad to say goodbye for them
because all of their helps for me and my friend during we conducted our
practical teaching over there, and everything that we want, they always give
best to provide what we what want, which these can make always me remember them
and never forget them

(from 10th to 14th
February 2018)
On
Saturday 10th February 2018 actually there was no activity that
would be done by me, which I only wrote my daily journal that has not been
finished by me yet. On Sunday 11th February
2018, the twentieth second day I am in Thailand in conducting my practical
teaching. Actually all of my schedules about practical teaching have been
finished. And for today’s activity, we have trip to a beach which is Chaam beach which we spent about three
hours to go three. The first impression when we came to the place which we were
surprised with unfamiliar view that there were so many tourists in the beach
who wore bikini. But, it did not become something problem that made us for
having fun in the beach which some of my friends swam and others took photos
together. In the beach, we spent around three hours for having fun together
which something important that is never forgotten by me which is about
togetherness. Even though we are different which is about religion, culture,
and even country, but these cannot be a gap to have fun with together. After
all of the happiness was shared in the beach, we continued our trip to a
traditional market which is Amphawa
floating market. This is the unique market that I have found that made me
felt happy to go to the market. Besides the market, there is an old palace
which has been used by King Rama II as
the king palace. In this place, we also share our togetherness which we have
dinner together and shopping together. The wonderful trip, I feel for today’s
activity which I always remember in life with my friends from Indonesia, our
buddies and teachers from Thai. And from 12th February to 14
February 2018, my friends and I prepared our performance that will be presented
for the farewell day, which includes of present our activities during conducted
our practical teaching at school and our cultures’ performance.

(From 15th Februaty to
18th February 2018)
On
Thursday 15th February 2018, twentieth sixth day I am in Thailand in
conducting my practical teaching there. For today’s activity, which is about
farewell day that my friends and I who are from Indonesia should perform our
culture from Indonesia which was mostly about traditional dance and only one of
my friends who sung his traditional song. For the first section in the farewell
day, that we presented what we have gotten from two weeks in conducting our
practical teaching in school. For personally, the important lessons that have
been gotten by me which first I feel that my skill in teaching has improved
because I could create my own lesson plan and activities in conducting my
teaching process, second my English skill also has improved because in daily
activity I must use the language and it has improved automatically, third from
this practicum it can be a basic step for me to attain my professional teacher
who is not only able to teach students in my country but also outside my
country. That is all for the first section that next we took lunch together
which the restaurant I saw a picture of the
fifth King and Ninth King who are in the wall of the restaurant. I even asked for one of our buddies
about why only two of them in that picture? He asked me that both have big role
in Thai’s education which King fifth who
found teacher college and the King ninth who
gave the all of the university to be Rajabhat.
That is the additional knowledge that I found from the picture and my
buddy’s explanation. And for the second section is about we
perform our performance, which first we danced together a traditional dance
from NTT, Kupang which its name is Maumere,
second which is my partner who performed a traditional dance from our city
Maluku which its name is Tari Lengso, third
one of my friends who comes from Sumatra, Medan which its name is Tari Tor Tor, and the last my friend who
comes from Kendari with his traditional song. After all of performances have
been performed, there was a presentation from a lecturer about evaluation of
our practical teaching and its devices during conducting our practical teaching
in here. And at the end of the activity for today, which we are students from
Indonesia said thanks for the lectures and buddies that helped us during one
month in Thai, which we were so sad to say goodbye for all of them. All of the
memories will be always remembered by me and other friends from Indonesia,
which I hope that we can be like this in the future. On Friday 16th February
2018,
which I had a plan with one of my buddies to go to grand palace. Actually, this
the very interesting place that should be visited by us as the tourism who come
to Thai. For this tour, I have invited some of friends to take the trip
together, but only one of my friends from Indonesia who wanted to go, which
only two of us who went to the grand palace by accompanied with one of our
buddies who is Phaul. It because other friends think that the expensive ticket
of the place which its is 500 bath for one visitor. We spent about two hours to
go there, which after we arrived I was surprised because there were so many
people and the place that is so bigger than what I imagine. My buddy told me
that the tourism who come are mostly from China, which they usually conduct
their trip in group. In the palace there so many things that relate to Buddhism
religion which is mostly about the statue and the building in the palace. The
interesting one that I found which one of china’s statue that also can be found
in the palace that made me wonder, which this palace does not only
provide
all of Thai’s culture that can be found but also another one which is china
statue. Another interesting one that I found which a building that was made by King Rama V, which is the style of the
building is made by combination Thai and Western building that it looks so
unique. The important lesson that I got from this trip which is about how good
they are in preserving the culture in the palace which everyone can see that
which is not only Thai people but also foreigners that make people really know
this is Thai’s culture and its history. On Saturday 17th February
2018, which there was no activity that would be done which some of us
who prepared our belongings for tomorrow’s schedule that we are going to back
to our country. This is the last day and the last night which we spent in Thai
with our friends there that I was so sad to say goodbye for all of them. On
Sunday 18th February 2018, which the day we backed to our country,
that is around 04:00 a.m we were taken by one of lectures of the Phranakhon
university and two buddies by using a fan to go to Suvarnahbumi airport that we
spent about 30 minutes to arrive there. After arrived there, we even said
goodbye each other that made me felt so sad in living them, because they are so
friendly with us, help us to our practical there, and also spent their time to
take care with us. For those things that make me always them and also Thailand
which is without them, my friends and I from Indonesia are nothing in
conducting our practicum over there. see you in the future for better life.
